London Design Festival 2018
London has had a longstanding reputation as one of the design capitals of the world, from 15-23 September 2018, the city of London is setting out to affirm it’s position by displaying some of the best design and architecture on offer today.
“London and Design go hand in hand” says London Design Festival Director, Ben Evans. “It is part of our story. London Design Festival is a platform for 100s of design stories to be told. Each of them talks to an expanding audience hungry for design ideas and enjoying the quality and diversity of what’s on offer. It all confirms London’s status as the global centre of design.”
Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, said: “London Design Festival is a fantastic event which brings together designers from across the globe and demonstrates the capital’s position as a powerhouse for the creative industries. London is known for its creativity and continues to attract the best companies and talent from around the world.”
As an award-winning, British designer grooming brand – Bolin Webb know the importance of great design and will be watching closely as the festival unfolds. A number of events will also be going on at Bolin Webb stockists throughout London during this time, here are a few of our favourites:
A textile airship that you have the chance to pilot with your mind. Reminiscent of early balloon designs from the 19th century, it is capable of having its movement controlled by visitors using their power of thought. The installation creates a surreal experience that offers visitors an alternative journey through the space of the museum. Spaces are offered on a first come, first served basis so check out the Design Museum website to plan your visit.

Scholten & Baijings invite visitors to immerse themselves in a daily tea ritual, held throughout the nine days of the Festival, on the first floor of the historic Fortnum & Mason store in Piccadilly.
Using more than 80 products, designed by companies from across the globe, the installation will deliver a unique take on the ritual of tea, set across a series of tables.
Designer Stefan Scholten said the collaboration with Fortnum & Mason presented a great opportunity for a colourist. “The setting we will create especially for this occasion will be a field of green hues that encompasses furniture, accessories and limited- edition products, where 300 years of tradition will meet contemporary Dutch design.”
